My truck has been at the dealer 2 weeks for a head gasket.

For a small part they have your truck hostage for 2 weeks? No. Call Toyota of North American customer service and complain. At least have them give you a rental. My truck was at the dealer for months last year waiting on wire harnesses from Japan. I was given a rental. Bill could've been something like $800, but Toyota foot the bill.

Never overheated, just a small coolant leak into cylinder 4. It was found with a leakdown test and then a camera in the cylinder where you could see the drip.
Do you tow with your V6.
There are thousands of 4Runner owners on the road that have V6 and have never heard of this forum. When I worked for Toyota we had 2 (04 and 06) V6 runners with "head gaskets" problem is before I left the dealer, one had come back and according to the tech, the block was warped and it needed a new motor. He said he suspected it right from the start, because he said these head gaskets do not just blow, something had to have given enough to cause the failure.
THIS is just an FYI. I do not have a v6 and I have never worked on one, I just wanted to let you know that from what I have been told at Toyota, the aluminum V6 blocks can warp under heavy towing and temps.
I may be way off here, I am just sharing, what little I have heard. Good luck man

I rarely tow a small trailer, under 2000 lbs, and when I do top speed is 65 and usually slower. I'm not lay the hammer to it guy.
I did read on the forum that Toyota redesigned the head gasket for the V6.

I had my 2008 V6 leaky head gasket changed under warranty in March. I have never towed, I do drive high highway speeds, I do offroad but mainly am doing Soccer Dad duties. I found the leak when I changed my spark plugs and found crud on them- THANKFULLY I changed mine earlier than the usual timeframe others use otherwise the problem might have been worse or out of warranty which would really smoke balls.

That's odd, usually we get parts pretty quickly at the dealership, even oddball ones. I'm not sure why they are waiting over 2 weeks on a head gasket kit. I would talk to the service manager and see if the part is back ordered or something, I'm sure its just some sort of logistical error. In any case, I haven't worked on a 1GR-FE with a blown gasket yet at our dealership, but I know a couple techs have done them in the past. I could totally see the block/head becoming warped under severe usage, but more than likely it was a design flaw in the gasket as the newer ones seem to hold up well. Still, the cross section of head gasket issues is smaller than you would think.
