My turn to brag!

I've been viewing this board since last fall and have sworn by your every comment and review about the new 4Runner. You guys had me salivating every time a new truck was purchased by a board member. Well now it's my turn to brag. I just sold my 96 SR-5 runner and purchased a '03 V8 Sport - Titanium. I was going to wait for the appearance package to arrive and get a base SR-5 but here in Canada they are not sure about delivery dates yet. I also didn't know if I should have gone with a 6 or 8 cyl. but once I got back from test driving the 8(SMOOOOOTH!), my choice was made. I can't believe the difference in the feel of the truck. The old one felt solid but this new one even more so. Second only to sex, it's probably the best thing I've tried. I am told that I should take delivery Monday or Tuesday at the latest. So much for sleeping till then!

As far as the apperance package here in the States, one thing I have notice the 4Runners with the package are loaded and the deals are not to be found. A SR5 without the apperance package it is easier to get a better deal.

Also I noticed when I took a vacation up in Canada, SUV's were few and far between. Of course gas was twice as much.

Congrats! As for not waiting for the Appearance Package, don't worry, Goodtimes loves his gray cladding and has found good use for it! (It helps him avoid heart attacks everytime he off-roads and hit his fender on a rock!) :bonk:

Damn Thai, that was wrong :blulaugh: Hey Forerunner, congrats on the new Runner. The new 4Runners are awesome, and oh yeah, the V8 rules. I am suppose to get mine in 2 weeks and can't wait either.

And Thai.....are you saying Goodtimes can't drive off road. hehe

Got it this morning. UNFREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!!!! God I love this truck. All I'm tryin to do is find places to go so that I can drive it. I can't get over the refinement. Love the "just turn and release" ignition and the sound of the V8 coming alive. After every drive, I get this strange craving for a cigarette and I don't even smoke.
