Mysterious Rattle

I had a weird rattle develop in my truck today. The rattle sounded like two metal objects rubbing against each other. I think it is either coming from the back of the dash or from the engine compartment. When the rattle started, the truck was parked for 4 hours and it was around 70 degrees outside. When I started it, I immediately shifted into reverse. The moment I shifted into reverse, the rattle began. When I shifted back into park, the rattle would stop. Basically, the rattle only started when I was in any gear but park and it only lasted for 1 minute. Does anybody have any ideas what this can be?

Sounds like a heat shield/guard on the exhaust system either under the hood or under vehicle.

Thanks for the help! Of course it doesn't happen every time so the noise is almost impossible to locate.
