Mysterious Switch?

A few days ago, while driving, my left foot was resting against the left wall of the (for lack of a better term) "gas pedal area" when it kept hitting what turned out to be a small, silver switch. I've never seen this switch before and have no clue what its for. I tried switching it several times, but nothing noticable happens. Does anyone know what this is?

I found that same switch when i was installing my body lift. I have no idea what it is for. Noting happened when i was switching it.

its most likely a bypass switch from an old alarm.

Probably for an alarm or remote starter.
