Mystery plug?

Found this when I was installing a tranny cooler tucked away. Anybody know what it is?

What year and model do you have? I don't have that from looking at mine but I'm guessing its for some sort of sensor. I know the air temp sensor is up there amongst other things.

I don't know what it is but I just had a look at mine and its plugged in behind that center vertical support. Maybe have a look to see if it got unplugged.

It's the temp sensor for your center display that tells you the outside temp.

The temp sensor is the one below it that is plugged in next to the horn.

From the 2003 FWM. Labeled as E3 in the diagram. I have a 2003 Limited and nothing is connected. It is hidden behind the radiator brace.
