mystery spring found on engine

Unexpectedly came across this unknown spring sitting on my 99's engine near the fuel rail. I suspect it has nothing to do with the vehicle and rather is some artifact of work done on nearby workbench, or was kicked up off the road. Anyone recognize it? It's all of about 1/4" long, with a couple coils of reduced size as if it fits a small pin or such.

I've taken my entire intake out which includes removing the fuel rails and that's nothing I saw in any of that mess.

lol yeah. I didn't recognize it from my '95 engine swap. For now, it's a blinker fluid recirculation valve tensioner...

Somebodies pliers, side cutters, or strippers are probably missing a spring.
