I have a T4R '03 with 151,000 miles (woot!).

It has started making this loud vibration noise in short burst down by the cup holders under the stereo (it literally sounds like a cell phone is vibrating in the cup holder). It comes and goes without a pattern and it seems like it happens more when the AC is running. Any clue what this might be?

have you tried pushing buttons or pushing on panels while it happens to attempt to pin point where it is coming from? like when it vibrates push on the left dash panel where the 4x4 switch is or the right side? To me it seems like the blower motor might have junk stuck on it.

try pushing on the little door under the hvac controls. i hear a vibrating noise sometimes like you described, when i push on the door, it stops. I just havent figured out a permanent solution to fix it

Same issue here - 2008 Limited V8 4WD

Subscribed...any resolution? Have the same exact issue. Drives me nuts. I will try the lower door. The other thing I read was to remove the cabin filter and reseat it. Supposedly paper can somehow get stuck there adn vibrate in an odd manner.

There is more than one person with this issue...just no solutions as of yet. Certainly weird.
