Mystery Wire

The other day I had my front door panel off to scope out the front speaker and to make a template out of it for my next project. I came across this wire that had a clear rubber cover on it tucked away in tape to a plastic holder clipped to the door metal.

Any ideas as to what is it for? Curiosity is killing the cat.

I am not much on what wires do what, but it looks like 5 simple looking white wires of the same gauge going to your door panel, near your speaker, ....., maybe something for possible upgrade to your speakers or stereo?

Another possibility is something regarding a security system or remote keyless entry since there are 5 wires - 4 doors and the rear hatch.

the correct answer is ........... those are all the ground wires for the door electrical, like power locks, windows and switches and lights. its only a common ground point.

you can check w/ multimeter if you get zero resistance towards a known ground point.
