We install them all the time on Tacomas, Tundras, and 4Runners. They are Running boards, not sliders, I don't think N-Fab really makes anything that off-road ready to be honest with you.
They're faux sliders that bolt to the factory running board holes on the body, not the frame.

I have them. They are pretty. I would save a few more pennies and get real sliders. These things will do NOTHING for protection. I bought them because I have a three year old and seven year old that needed a step to get in. So I had purpose, just not protection as the purpose.

First thing I put on mine were the nfab steps. Like FourEyedWilly it was apparent rather quickly that the kid would not be able to climb in easily without something. Picked them up on Amazon for half the price of sliders and they were at my door in 3 days.
I plan on upgrading to real sliders once the short one is not quite as short in a few years. That should give me some time to convince the wife it is a good idea.

N fabs will cause more damage to the body panel if you happen to hit something with them. With that said, I am getting rid of my nfabs for sliders I just ordered. Nfabs are nice for people who need steps to get into their vehicles.
As stated by others - they're fancy running boards. I had them on my tacoma and i had the unfortunate fun of getting stuck...1 week before while I waited on my sliders to be made lol.
Since they were paper weights to me i decided to test my luck and see how well they stand up to a hi lift - not much and they would've only caused damage to the body if I kept going - again, i only did this to how well built these things were and they failed instantly.
Save your money, pay the extra few hundred dollars and get some sliders that still double as steps for passengers and can withstand the beatings and provide a jacking point
