This is just not a color that you see around here and the website photo's do not do it justice, but yesterday for the first time I saw a 4Runner in this color and it was really fantastic. It had the front skid plate in silver as well as on the back underside the silver accent and that really looked sharp. I'm wondering why we don't see more of the 4Runners in that color. Anyone here have one?

I believe that was the new color they have on the 07's.. the salsa red got replaced by that.. it looks amazing in person, i saw one a month ago i think

I have an 06 limited in Nautical Blue Metallic and really love the color as well. The color itself actually gets quite a few compliments from strangers... but they never notice the OME lift.. However it still has the stock Michelin tires and 18" rims which looks a little odd, maybe after the 33" MTs are installed w/ spidertraxs it will all come together!

If Nautical Blue is color 8S6, it came out in 2006.

FWIW, Salsa Red is still available, according to toyota.com.

Buckfever - I have a 2007 Nautical Blue Metallic I purchased recently. It's a great color and I don't see it a lot in Southern CA (at least not yet!). I had a very hard time, finding this color with the other options I wanted - SR5, V6, 4x4, 3rd seating and side-curtain airbags. Dealer in Northern CA, Monterey area found only one in CA and trucked the vehicle to me.

At night or low light it looks dark, but it really shines under the sun - quite a unique shade under different lighting conditions. I really like it.

I am in So. California I have Nautical Blue and I would guess it is pretty rare. The dealer I got mine from only had one and it was three months before another one showed up on the lot it seems Galactic Grey,Silver,Black, and white are very common. From what I have seen Nautical Blue,Salsa Red and Driftwood Pearl are the least common colors. I have only seen 3 Salsa Red's and two driftwood pearl's.

Stratosphere Mica (03-05) very similar to Nautical Blue was also rare to see

love it

Of course i have the nautical blue - love it!!! I didnt like the pic on the web when i was deciding, but then i saw one in town and had to have it!! I live in FL and they had to get one from VA!

What about Stratosphere Mica thats pretty too!!! I like the nautical blue as well, as far as I can tell it is a bit lighter than what I have. I prob wouldnt get that color though, I like the SE package and you cant get a Nautical Blue SE.

Nautical Blue was my first choice when I was looking for a 4Runner, only found one around here, but was above the price range I was looking for. Very next one I found was the Galactic Grey and I loved it in the sunlight, so I went with that as it was in the price range I wanted. Still like the NB better though, it looks so awesome with the silver sport accents on the bumpers.

" it looks so awesome with the silver sport accents on the bumpers."

Yeah that's exactly how I saw it. Sweet indeed!!! Yeah and the website pictures do it no justice, what so ever.

Please tell me this is not true! I'm so dissapointed now because I wanted a SE in Nautical Blue. Now I'm thinking of buying the SR5 just for the color and buying that SE hood! I have to admit it, I'm in love with that scoop. What a bummer. Life's not fair!

Stratosphere blue appears to have more metallic tints in it, making it appear lighter from angles and when the sun hits it. Nautical blue has smaller pearl flakes in it giving it a more soild blue look. Both colors rock, btw.

I have one

For my 16th birthday, I got a 2006 Limited Nautical Blue Metallic 4runner! It took us a really long time to locate one, but it was definitely worth the wait. It is such a pretty color

Damn! I hope you thanked your parents:D

:iagree: The N Blue is a beautiful color... I am not sure why but for the blue is one of the few colors that I prefer 'letters out' on the tires:confused:

Same here. I can't explain it. My previous work car was a suburban. Similar metallic blue. Bfg's. Letters out...

New work car is a tan suburban. Bfgs letters out. Not the same.
