Nav and Frenchie

I've been enjoying my 04 since Halloween:

I had a few hesitations about getting the Nav originally but not anymore. The fact that I can set it for French and be directed by a French girl where to make my turns is worth every penny!

Actually, wondering why only English and French are offered. My wife speaks Spanish and is now jealous of my infatuation with Frenchie. Does anyone know anything about the upgrades to the nav system? Are they costly, I wouldn't think so as it's just a DVD, how often are they updated etc.?

And, if you're wondering if it's worth it to get the Nav I'd say go for it, especially if you're as directionally challenged as I am and enter into the mountains a lot. The rear view camera is kind of fun too but it's almost too much information, my passengers like it more than I do so far...

When you think about how many products for the Americas have been printed in English, French, and Spanish (thereby being available for virtually everywhere except Brazil), it is odd that the Nav is set up only for the US and Canadian markets.

When you have a moment, will you check to see what version of the software came with your '04 Navigation System? I believe you can check the version by touching the 'DVD' button from the Menu screen. If someone who has an '03 with Nav can also check this and post the results, I'd appreciate it.
