You order the newest disc for the model year of your truck. There are 2 different systems (entune on the newer models). The new disc runs like a charm. Need to find one now for my VW R32 in the same price range ☺

He doesn't seem to be offering a disc for 2014 4Runners. "Gen 6 U95 13.1" specifically says 2010-2012 4Runner. I installed that disc in a 2011 Limited last Monday, it works fine and I can see the upgrade info. I live in a rural area and now have streets on the map that weren't there with the original disc.:thumb3:

I too replaced my original 2011 disk with this and so far all seems good. All of my settings and previous addresses remained unmolested.

Nathan.....How have you made out with your DVD, any more info on your unit?
I tried a lens cleaner disc, but it has to be played on track #9 according to the instructions, so there is no way for me to advance it to that track so it was a fail. The Nav comes and goes as it pleases, the longest it has ever stayed on is about 8 min. It is not due to the disc, it did the same thing with the OEM Toyota disc (the reason i bought the new one). I have tried unplugging it, using keyboard compressed CO2.... nothing will make the nav work so far.

Wow, sorry to hear you're still having problems, and I'd bet the warranty is over, no extended warranty? How about your CD player, that still plays....I'm far from an "electronics guy," so there's not much help I could offer, but good luck on getting it straight :thumb:.
CD Player works fine.
I even tried buying one of the Cleaner discs...BUT. you have to select track #6 to get it to clean, and in the Toyota NAV you cannot select a tracks.
I have tried taking it out and blowing it out very well with compressed CO2 (from my on-board air) and nothing helps.
There is no software update. And now it wont even load momentarily like it did before.
UPDATE:
I have called several yards, and so far nothing avail. I check eBay about every single day for 5th gens being parted out and then i call on them. My main purpose was to get the Limited/Trail gauges for my SR5 but every time i find one (about ever 2-3 weeks) the gauges are already sold. Makes me wonder if anyone on here has made the swap.
Anyway, I'm still hunting for a replacement nav. I did call a repair shop that fixes them in CA. I was quoted $550 for R&R to replace the DVD drive (a common problem according to them).
I'm trying to find out if i can plug a 2013 entune unit in place of thi sone, but i have not been able to get a picture of the back of the entune unit to compare. If I am going to hunt down a replacement head unit, I would like a small upgrade.

Any progress or update on replacing the 2013 TE NavUnit DVD? I have scoured the interwebs and come up with zilch. I got a Nav DVD updated disk, U99, but cannot, for the life of me, find out how to eject the 2013 Nav DVD that came with the vehicle. There is nothing in the manuals (any of them) about how to eject the Nav DVD and replace it.
I don't have a HU that is like the one in the YouTube video from Slidell Toyota, so that doesn't work for me.
