Hi Nick. Actually you can find the DVD upgrades on eBay of all places. They look exactly like the OEM DVDs. Just search for Toyota navigation and see what pops up.

NAV DVD

I have the 2003 4 runner too!
My current version is 2.1. I ordered a version 3.2 and Version 4.1 on Ebay. Niether one worked. I got a message on The NAV screen saying not able to read DATA. If any one knows what version works please let us first year 4 runner owners know. I tried the dealers and they don't know which version works. They tried to sell me the 4.1 version for $ 350.00, glad I tried it on Ebay for $ 60.00 THese are for sale if any one is interested other wise they go back on auction on ebay.

This is the latest version for 2003 4runner. 00125-DVD04-CY. you can get it at www.trdparts4u.com. A little expensive but this is the one you want. This is still cheaper the the dealer..

Thanks for the information. I looked and found the DVD just like you said. I will order one as ooon as I sell the last 2 I bought. This has been a real adventure.
