Nav: How to input addresses while driving

Say you wanted the passenger to operate the Nav system; input address while moving. I hear that is not possible, and the car has to be in park or nuetral. Is there a way to defeat/bypass this?

After reading that full mod, i wonder if u can just use the Hazard switch... It toggles at a fixed rate(may be too fast). If not, just use the hazard switch as a pure swith to toggle the mod; saves you buying a swith that 'looks' good and mounting it.

I thought the hazard light flashing was done at the relay? If it's done at the switch then this might just work.

Just grounding the parking brake does not work. You need to switch the VSS on and off, thus the need for that timer device.
