I am having an issue with my navigation system. I have the 05 solara nav unit in my 05 JBL 4runner. Every once in a while, about once a week, the nav will go totally nuts and act like it is lost. It will have me 30-40 miles off course. Usually, within 20-30 minutes it will reset and go back to where I should be. However, it did this again last night while out at the movies. When I got back in the car (I was in the lowest underground level at the AMC theatre on the Levee) it showed me as being in the Ohio River. I attributed this to being underground and not being able to get a Sat signal. When I went out and started driving it had me totally off again all the way home (about 20 minute drive). I wasn't worried, because I thought when I got in this morning to drive to the hospital it would work fine. WRONG. It was still doing it. Now, I have not changed any settings on my Nav, except for the override option to allow in motion nav plotting.
Does anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong here? I installed it myself, and had no issues with the installation. My antenna is mounted above the sunglass/sunroof console in the roof liner. It hangs loose. Thanks for any help you can give.
