NAVI and IPOD

I have searched and can't find a straight answer to my question.....

What is the best way to get a IPOD to work with the NAVI system on my 4R? I would rather it be hardwired and not through the FM radio. Is this possible? Sorry if this is a repost but like I said I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

Search for ICELink. They make adapters which allows you to connect to the radio directly, even allows the steering wheel controls to control the ipod.
