I always thought that my navigation system only became "active" when I pressed the "I agree" button to the disclaimer screen.
Of course I don't use my navigation system every day, so I usually don't bother to hit the "I agree" button at all. I simply hit the audio button instead, and the radio screen comes right up.
But I noticed that the navigation system is always busy working anyway, even when I have no intentions of using it. Is there no way to shut it off??
Now that I think about it, there's absolutely no way to shut off the head unit at all... it's always on!!
I can turn the radio off completely, and the screen just shows a picture of two speakers and reads "Audio system off" or something like that. The screen remains on though. I can also manually turn off the screen, but the head unit still remains powered up.
This doens't really bother me, but I thought it was a bit strange that I can't turn off the damn radio/navigation system....
