Your going to pay through the nose at your dealer for labor and for parts and in all honesty the OEM one is a POS. It has little SQ and the NAV is nothing special.
I highly recommend a Kenwood DNX unit so you get the built in NAV. Guidance is done by Garmin so not only is it spot on, but its so easy an old lady could figure it out.

I've had both OEM navigation and aftermarket, both on the same 4Runner. The reason I switched to aftermarket is that my OEM navigation developed an internal problem that couldn't be fixed inexpensively. I decided to go with the Eclipse 6620 as a replacement for the OEM navigation because it is about 95% the same thing. Did you know that Fujitsu makes both the OEM navi and the Eclipse navi? That's why they are almost identical in terms of functionality. The steering wheel buttons even plug right into the back of the Eclipse, just as they do with the OEM navi.
You should save yourself some money and install it yourself. It's really very easy and there are plenty of guys here who could help you out if you should run into a problem.

Aftermarket or Stock Navigation?
Im looking to buy a navigation for my 2007 V6 4Runner. Which would you prefer to do, get an aftermarket Navigation System such as the Pioneer or other brands, or get the Stock Toyota Navigation that comes with the Limited 4runner.
I would also like to be able to use my steering wheel controls with the navigation if that helps

Hey guys....guess what....
A very special person just gave me a surprise today....
I recieved a gift.
a portable Garmin Nuvi205 GPS
Now...It's not that I don't appreciate it but I really wanted the indash ...
but thinkin about it.... I can use all the money that I was gonna spend buying an Indash and use it for something else like for example, some good seat covers ...I want a Bug Deflector or a New Audio System (nothing huge but better than What I have). or some window vent visors etc etc...

Look at the eclipse AVN 6610 or even better the 6620. They are sold everywhere, like here for example:

Eclipse makes the OEM units for Toyota, so no wiring harness is needed... factory wiring plugs right into the eclipse. And as a bonus the steering wheel controls still work.
I installed it into my 2007 SR5 and both my wife and I love it!!!
