Navigation upgrade

All-

Does anyone have a good parts list for upgrading from a non JBL radio to a Nav E7005. I have a 2005 4runner.

Thanks

If the E7005 is the analog JBL, I don't think it is available anymore. OEMValue only has the E7009, digital JBL, nav same as 2006+ 4Runners except the button text is green instead of amber. Ebay might be your only other choice. You can look into the Scion nav or get an aftermarket one from Eclipse. The Eclipse nav are completely plug and play and steering wheel controls will work just like stock.

The other thing you need to look at is if you have a six disc changer or not. There are two different bezel trims and climate control display. I know the single disc standard (non-JBL) radio bezel is the same as the navigation one. The difference is whether or not the stock radio is flush with the sides of the bezel where the vents are or if the radio is slight recessed. The recessed radio bezel is the one that's compatible with the OEM nav. But I think aftermarket companies have finally produce dash kits for both bezels.

What I'm looking for is which JBL amplifier is needed if I'm going to install an E7005 nav unit. I already purchased the E7005 unit and I'm upgrading from a non-JBL single disc player.

Thanks for the Help!

Dan

Sorry... don't know the answer to that one, but check on siennaclub.org. I know they have a few members that have done the swap and some have upgraded one generation nav to another.
