NCAA Bracket time

Big East once again, overrated...

I have no idea why I feel they'll actually win as a conference. They get like eight teams in each year and by the end of the first weekend have one, maybe two left.

I ended up getting bronchitis this week. It's never a good time to have bronchitis, but if I was going to get it, I couldn't pick a better time. I've watched so much basketball the last two days.

Ha, ya there are a few guys that took some hits. No one had Harvard winning...

That Georgetown game took some people out. I had them losing to Florida so it didn't hurt me much. This is the first year in a long time I didn't get in a pay pool since I knew it was so wide open. I think if you can get 5 of 8 right in the elite 8 you have a good chance. If you can pick the finals you definitely know college hoops... Or you got extremely lucky

Who's leading this disaster so far...!?!

I didn't log in and check, but I'm sure IU going out hurt some people.

Lol. I'm scared to look!

*edit* I just looked. I'm in last place. Lol. Funny how that works. One thing that I think is cool that we do in my main bracket pool is that we have points per round plus the points for the seed. So if the first round is 1 pt and you picked #12 Oregon to win, you'd get 13 pts. We've been doing it over the past several years and have really liked it. Rewards those who go more out on a limb and are correct than those who just play it safe and pick the favorites.

Oh and I know I picked Gtown, but I'm a HUGE Michigan fan too. Go Michigan!

Well, I'm a Duke fan, so I'm probably going to be done after tonight (since I picked them to win it all)...

Michigan isn't playing well and KU is playing out of the gym and Michigan is only down five (IIRC) at half, so they have a chance...

Yeah, hopefully the 2nd half will be different. They could have easily been down by well into the double digits.

I like this years tourney. You kinda knew going in that it was going to be all over the place. I think it's one of the few good things about the one and done rule. A lot of the big basketball schools lose their best players so quickly that it allows some of the other schools to catch up with teams that have played with each other for several years.

I know Stern has mentioned about making the entry limit into the NBA two years removed from HS, so who knows.
But agreed, I think as long as there's the one and done, you're going to have this level of parity they talk about.

Calipari has always said he'd take talent over experience in March anytime. To date, it's only worked once for him so I think it's a bad philosophy.

How many more tourneys do you think it will take before a 1 (seed) loses to a 16? I say within three tourney's it will happen...

Honestly, I think that gap is pretty large still, but I'd sure love to see it!

And what a game!
