Need a good T4R mechanic near Charlotte, NC

Hey guys,

(Possibly) buying a 2002 4R with 110K miles on it and want to take it to a good mechanic (not the stealership) to get it checked out to see if everything is good with it. Anyone know of a good mechanic near Charlotte who can give it a once over?

Where in Charlotte are you? I'm in Mint Hill. Always had great luck with Elkins Automotive (704) 545-8550. It's off Albemarle road at Wilgrove-Mint Hill road.

I personally just sold my 2002 sport edition a little over a year ago. I'd look for leaking valve cover gaskets, check the rear axle seals and make sure every button works including the 4wd (if it has it) good luck.

Try calling Twin Transmission and Auto Repair in Indian Trail NC. They do a great job (Transmission Repair Charlotte NC | Transmission Rebuild Charlotte NC) Highly recommended.
