im in need of swapping out my transfer case on my 87 4rn . i have an extra auto trans with the transfer case. im in the process of separating the transfer case but i have no idea which bolts to take off . i attempted to unscrew what looked like a separating point on the transfer case but nothing is coming loose. am i just weak or am i in the wrong spot. also im doing this by myself and i dont want to end up rebuilding the whole thing from taking unnecessary bolts. and for sure i dont want to spend unnecessary funds on having a mechanic do it . my issue is the very last bearing and or seal that connects to the rear drive shaft is broken and vibrates really bad when im on the freeway and notices i can move my drive shaft like an 1/8 to 1/4 . i know its not safe and i need to swap is out or if cheaper change the bearing out . im really not sure. if theres someone out there that would be willing to donate a few hours of there time in the west covina area to help with my issue so i can be back to wheeling id really appreciate it . i can pay in beer and carne asada.or if you perfer money i can maybe come up with enough to convince . unfortunately i dont have cool friends to help with and extra hand.
