Need a steering gear box

Mine has gotten obscenely sloppy.

Having a hard time. Autozone, Advance, LCEngineering, no dice. I see some on ebay, but wary. Any ideas?

My local tire shop found one at a supplier in CA for $750+shipping+his labor :( and I just dont want to dump a grand+.

84, stock height.

car-part.com has three in the Southeast region, $250 to $280. That's wack. I'd sell you my old one if I could find it, but I think I might have pitched it already.

Check Yotatech and Pirate4x4.com, you should find somebody who converted to crossover and has their old push-pull box lying around willing to let it go cheap.

PM me, I have some contact numbers, couple guys OTP South. What part of the city? Will a 88 work or solid axle different? I have intentions of visiting the south pull a part soon if you want to join. The toyota pickings are pretty slim but changes a lot,

Check them out and the price of the rebuild is affordable.A lot of the guys from IH8mud forum sends gear box to them.

The solid axle is different.

I am ITP. Decatur.

Is there a large following in the state? I dont do any wheeling or the like. I love driving, but I only do highway miles, and toying with selling her. I am not quite cut out for the wrenching she is starting to require. Did the master clutch cylinder in my driveway last month, easy. Steering gear box is beyond me :/ So its on schedule for xmas trip upto fathers garage in Chattanooga.
