Need Advice on 4 runner

Hello all, I am new to this board and am looking for advice on purchasing a 4Runner.
I am looking for a solid Vehicle and know Toyotas are very good vehicles.
I have found a 1986 4 Runner 4x4 with a engine rebuild in 2006 the asking price is 2,000. I believe that this is a good price for the truck and was wondering if this is about right?

Check the frame carefully for rust, it's a big problem on 80's Toyotas. It rusts from the inside out, so by the time you can see it it's bad. Use a hammer or something to go over the entire frame. If you don't find any big spots, you're good.

Doesn't look like it has the normal fender rust, so chances are the frame is OK.
Check the oil and coolant, make sure 4WD engages, etc.

That's the old frame on my 83 p/u.
It has a much better one under it now.

2000$ is a good price. depending on the condition of the vehicle, which from that picture it seems to be in fairly good condition.
