Hello everyone. I've been doing a bunch of reading on this forum. I must say you guys do a great job a providing great information on all aspects of the T4R. I'm currently in the market for a 2011 T4R limited w/nav. I was hoping to get some advice on recent purchases in the Chicago area market. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could steer me towards a decent dealer and provide an idea of what i could expect to pay in the current market. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any suggestions on a dealer cause I don't live in Chi Town. I do, however, have a Limited Edition w/ nav and I can truly say that I am happy as a fat kid in a candy store with it. I've had an 07' all time 4WD Runner and the all time 4WD FJ Cruiser. They were no slouches - the new Runner Is on a different level though... it's the best of both worlds.

If you go to kbb.com, click on new cars, select 4runner, then go to "pricing" it will let you find the "fair price" to pay for a 4runner optioned the way you want. From my understanding Kelly Blue Book determines "fair price" by the averaging prices from new car sales data around the country. It will show MSRP, and invoice for the car as well as individual options:

It was a great tool for me. My sr-5 4x4 w/ premium package and sunroof stickered for $37k; I offered $34k like kbb said and got it. Carmax.com also sells new toyotas (though they don't transfer), they price their cars very competitively so you can get a good idea of what you should be paying by finding a similar models on their website.
