need advice on tire size

Nope. 31 is probably about as big as you want to go without regearing, and you'll notice a decrease in usable power and mileage, but it won't harm anything.

Concur.
31's would be sweet, AND biggest you could safely go without rubbing on stock lift.
I wish I had upgraded to 31's instead of my 235/75R-15's.
31's would add about 1 inch of ground clearance over stock, and look very good on stock lift.

I suppose you could push it to equally narrow 32's, but 31's are great.

My 4.10's and 31's with the 22re served me very well. Low range was low enough, fifth on the freeway was high enough.

My '86 (22RE auto) has had 31 x 10.5 since new and currently has about 90k on the odometer. Definitely doesn't help performance but there also hasn't been any issues either IME. ....the truck was my fathers until about 2 years ago when he gave it to me (which I really only use for hauling stuff locally when needed).

Here are a couple of pics. I obviously have the infamous butt sag but thought these pics might give you an idea of how your truck would sit with this size tire. ....sorry for the incomplete side shot. I park the truck on the side of my house. :
