Hey guys, is there a trick to pulling out a windshield washer sprayer? I'm pulling, pushing and yanking, but it's not budging. I'm sure it's been there since NEW in '98 and it's just not working right anymore. I got a new official one off Ebay from a Toyota dealership for $20.75 delivered. It's for a much newer 4runner and has 3 nozzles instead of 2, so it should work better, especially since mine is ancient..

Use some slip joint pliers, clamp the nozzle tabs in, and knock the pliers upwards.
I have to ask why buy only one? It will make for an interesting spray pattern.

OK, I'll try with a needle nose. The hole they have under the hood doesn't line up right, so one of the clips is hidden from me by hood metal! 
I wasn't 100% positive it was going to fit since it's from a different Gen 4Runner, I just read 1 guys posting that it did fit. So I just bought 1 to try first. Plus the passenger side sprayer works fine still! This one is a MUST to get installed first, I've been cruising around in the Tahoe SNOW and it's been hard to see WHERE I'm driving!

Needle nose worked, got one side to pop up and then the other. Flat screwdriver would have worked just as well. So now I have 5 streams instead of 4 or 6 (or 2 while driver's side wasn't working at all) It's just a tiny bit taller than the old one, unless I told someone to look for the difference, no one will notice..
My wife said the SAME THING when I told her I ordered 1! LOL
So I just ordered another one, in case she bugs me that the sprays are uneven now..

Any noticeable improvement with the newer spray nozzle?
I haven't had a chance to use it much yet, but hitting 3 spots instead of 2 is an improvement.

I am really looking forward to the results. The stock nozzle heads suck. I have been looking at either upgrading the nozzle heads or seeing if there is a way to convert the wiper arms to also have the spray heads.

I installed the same ones as OP presumably, I just ordered off an 05 Rav4 or something like that. It is a better pattern with 3 streams instead of 2. The only thing better would be the mist pattern the 2nd gen Tacomas have, but there washer nozzles are shaped different and don't fit our hoods.
OP, you may want to align your nozzles to exactly where you want them. Each get is adjustable, stick a safety pin in there and you can turn the jets to spray anywhere you want on the windshield.

I grabbed a new set for a 4th Gen back in 2010. Such a bigger improvement over stock. The only drawback is that I now have to fill the reservoir more frequently.
Thanks, I do know to align them. I think sticking a pin in my old one is what broke it, probably jammed it in there too hard, trying to clear a clog..
I'm digging how much more cleaner this new one dumps onto my windshield! It really sucked not having one at all, while all the trucks in front of me were spraying my windshield with dirty road snow!

Parts have been ordered for in store pickup at TRDParts4u. So we will see this Saturday or Sunday how the install goes.

It looks exactly the same installed as your original, just a hair taller to make room for the 3rd nozzle. It's just a third stream right above the 2 that our trucks originally came with, better coverage to clean your windshield with. Spray pattern will vary depending how you adjust each of the 3 nozzles..
Which ones did you get from TRDParts? Install was a SNAP no?

Yes; I ordered the nozzles from Toyota of Dallas and had them installed in a few minutes. I used a flat head screw driver to press against the plastic catch one at a time to pop it out. I spent more time adjusting them then I did installing them.
