Need An Accurate Tire Pressure Gauge

Can anyone suggest a brand name for an accurate tire pressure gauge? I have one made by JAYCO, and one made by ACME. I don't trust either one.

Notice in the picture, the needle on the JAYCO is showing approx. 7 PSI. It started doing this shortly after I got it, even though it's never been mistreated or dropped. And, it reads 7 PSI higher then the ACME.

THE ACME is old. .....not sure how accurate that one is either.

Looking for brand recommendations for a good quality, accurate gauge.

I paid $69.44 in 2015 for it, but now it's $90. I pull a 23' Airstream and this gauge has been excellent for my cars and the Airstream. When you check the pressure, if it's too high, you just press the small button to bleed off some air. No need to remove from the valve stem. I has a nice big, glow in the dark dial too.

I have tried every type of gauge out there in the past 20 years.

I use a standard 50psi gauge that is like 5 dollars at the parts store.

I bought a low pressure 1-20 psi gauge to be more accurate with offroad pressure. I buy them in multipacks, so I just throw them away if they aren't accurate anymore.

I don't trust any of the dial type gauges anymore.

I too, have the same Jaco as you and I bought it because I was looking for an accurate gauge. Why do you question it's readings?

I have several different digital gauges that all measure within 0.2 psi of each other. That's plenty accurate as far as I'm concerned.

I've been using a Schwalbe digital gauge for a few years now and it's been very accurate to the tenth. Around $20 I think?
It's designed with bike tires in mind (has presta adapter too), but works awesome while airing back up/routine checks.
Only real drawback is the auto-shut off is somewhat quick for 4 tires instead of 2 depending on what you're doing.

i have a couple of the digital Jacos. they are pretty good quality, seem accurate when comparing them to my much more expensive digital Powertank gauges, and have held up for a couple years of moderate use.

Sorry for the delay to reply. I don’t get on this board every day.

I question the reading because the needle doesn’t go to zero. It stays at 5 to 7 PSI. I fear that this may be skewing my actual pressure readings.

For old school mechanical pencil type gauges Milton makes the best and made in USA.

They also make dial and digital gauges as well but I haven't any experience with them.

Accurate tire gauge

I have used Longacre for years. Digital with hose, reads in .2 lb increments.
Amazing accuracy when cross checked with other gauges.
