need help adjusting the headlights

Hey people I am new to this forum since I haven't used it much lately. I just want some advice or how to adjust the headlight to normal viewing like not too high or too low.... I just installed a set of 8000k HID and don't know how to adjust the headlight so it doesn't shine peoples eyes. Since I adjusted it, it went really low and now I think I f***ed it up.

1998 Toyota 4Runner if wondering what year the 4Runner was.

EDIT: Done with the Headlight aiming!! Now just need to learn how to upload it because my camera is a 1080p Still Image and can figure out on how to convert it smaler....

I had this same problem when i replaced my headlights. Look behind the headlight and the black housing which encases the glass enclosure. On the back of the housing there should be nuts that connect up to bolts that run to the headlight. Just turn the nuts which will aim the headlight up or down or side to side. I can't remember which nut does which but play with and it won't take you too long. I hope this helps and I wish I had some pictures to show you exactly where these nuts are.

Getting to the nuts, especially on the passenger side, can be a pain. Get a LONG Phillips screwdriver, and insert it vertically down to the gear that turns the adjuster--there is a kind of channel for this. The Phillips cross engages the gear and you can adjust it easily just by turning the screwdriver.

This is an official trick, it's in the FSM.
 
haha i think i did the same thing! take some pics against a wall when you get it right but there are 2 10mm white plastic adjustment nuts on the bottom left (facing the truck) of the light housing. when you go looser the beam goes up and when you go tighter it goes down. As for left and right i haven't been able to find those but i think there on the top of the light housing??

Im still trying to figure it out to where i can still see and not blind people at the same time

Oh snap... I kept tightening the 2 10mm bolts no wonder why.... I thought the top one was to adjust it up and down... damn it I really did mess up.
