Need help before buying a 2001 4Runner

Hi. I'm looking at a 2001 4Runner SR5 with 91k miles. It has a few issues but I'm not sure how serious. Any help is appreciated.

1) The antenna motor runs but the antenna doesn't go down. Also, the radio doesn't light up. The seller said the radio light was connected to the antenna and that fixing the antenna would fix the light. Does that sound right and what does it cost for an antenna?

2) The car does not have roof racks, but it does have what looks like a place to attach them. How much are the roof racks and are they easy to install?

3) Anything in particlular to look out for on 2001 4Runners?

Stan,

I have never heard such concerning the radio/antenna and believe that such is actually two different problems. If you are semi handy with a wrench, neither problem is that hard to tackle to fix..

The rack can be had off Ebay, Craigslist, or a junkyard. Make sure there is something covering those holes up on the roof.
