Need Help! Boards or NO Boards?

Hey peeps. This will actually be my first attempt at posting pics and the first time I've posted a pic of the runner. Let me know what you think (of my ride) and boards or no boards? Thanks! -Jeff

Most people will say take em off. Theres a poll on here already with the results. I took mine off and upgraded to sliders. If you off-road take em off or they will get torn off. If your on road its all personal prefrence.

True dat ! I recently took mine off after seeing Mr. B's postings with photos of his. I enjoyed it for a little while until wife finds it hard to climb up the 4Runner.

It looks good without it ( polls supports this ) but again if ya use it, leave them on.

No. 6 bolts on each side.

I have a 3yo and 6yo and took mine off. I replaced with All-Pro rock sliders they have a kick out in the back and the kids use that as a step to get into my truck which is lifted with 285's.

I had a snow (at least I thougt it was snow) bank reconfigure my running boards. Turns out the snow bank was frozen solid and it mangled my boards.
Of course, I just unbolted them and enjoyed the look of my free lift kit for a while.
However, since the truck is my daily driver, I got tired of dirtying my pant legs and hearing my GF, mom and others comment on how the hell to get out of the truck. The last straw was the GF's parents that needed assistance to get in ad out of my truck. I straightened the brackets and the boards went back on.
I never did like the fact that Toyota left the body undersides looking so unfinished without the boards anyway.
I would say if you don't like the look of your boards and don't venture off road much at all, get some step tubes (Westins). Or, get sliders if you are taking it off-road more than once in a blue moon.
