Need help choosing CB antenna

Looking for a antenna for a CB I just purchased. I like the whip antennas that you can disconnect when not in use. I have a 4th gen 4Runner. Any ideas where to mount? I wan thinking on the roof rack. Point me in the right direction fellas. And how long of an antenna is needed? You always see people with a huge one, is that needed or just preferred for looks?

I'm using a Wilson magnetic mount behind my extended Yakima Load Warrior roof rack. It does not interfere with the liftgate, has never moved, and I can quickly remove the mast. Works great and, after checking it with an SWR meter, found it needed no tuning. I have my Comet dual band (ham) magmount antenna in front of it and it works great too.

How much cable did it take to run it from the roof to the unit?

Came with, I believe, 18' of cable. Was about a foot more than needed, so all went well.

I've got the 36" Wilson. I only take it off if I run it thruan automated wash (which I rarely do).

How about a few close ups how you mounted the bracket for the antenna itself, the I have a 03 and where it looks like you mounted the bracket, on mine would be part of the tail light assembly, and on mine that is plastic, just did not seem like a good place, I like that location, so when parking in a garage, and yes I do park mine in one the antenna wont bang on every thing over head.
