Need help choosing my lift

I have a 2000 4Runner limited 2wd. I am looking for a lift that is just for looks since it isn't 4wd. I will be running my stock tires until i need new ones so its gonna be awhile so i am looking for a lift that wont make my stock tires look too small. I replaced the rear shocks recently trying to get the excessive bounce out of the rear but it didnt help.

What would be the best combo for a lift that isnt too expensive (around $300) and doesnt raise it up too high? I figured i could buy new OEM springs for the back to fix the bounce or just upgrade to a lift, the lift sounds better.

It really doesn't matter that you're in 2wd and not a 4wd, but to each his own.

The sticky previously mentioned has a lot of information regarding lifts for our 3rd Gens.

You could do TRD Tundra coils (Codes yellow/blue for passenger side and yellow/yellow for drivers side. Part numbers 48131-AF090 and 48131-AF100). If you're going that route, look for 2000-2006 Tundra's with the TRD package. From what I've seen, it doesn't matter if the Tundra is 2wd or 4wd, as long as it has the TRD package. From what I read too, it gives about a 3" lift. Hopefully someone can chime in and offer more info too.

I'm going to go this route, but I'm not sure about the rear lift. I like my 4Runner to be lifted with front higher than the rear. Just my 2 cents. :guitar3:

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about having mine sit higher in the front but then decided that i would like it to sit level. I read the sticky but i was just wondering what everyone thought would look best. I am ready to order the lift from Toytec, i was just waiting to hear back from someone.

Thats considered a California lift/stance around here. I've only heard it when talking about lowered vehicles, but I cant see why it cant be for lifted vehicles also.

Would the 3" spacer for the front and the 890 rear coil be a good idea? Would it sit level? Toytec says it's their best seller.

it works really well provided you current shocks and springs are in good condition. alot of people knock spacers but if all you are looking for is height, they are definitely a good option. and yes it should sit level

Alright. Thanks Steeze. The back of my car bounces a lot. Even going over the smallest little bump it will hop around so the new coils should help that at least.

shocks would help more for that than the coils will. i would recommend adding those rear procomps. plus you will get more travel with them

ya if u jsut really wanna go for looks then i would say get the 3" lift u linked... it might have a slight rake in the rear if it doesnt sit level. I have a 2wd also but im running the OME coils all around. U can see my pics in my sig if u want a point of reference...
