Need help choosing tires

So my dilemma is this, I'm about to purchase another t4r for my fiancé but I'm gonna get a deal worked in where the dealership throws in a free set of tires. I'll wear out the dunflops them get the new ones installed down the road. But I don't know squat about tires. I have a t4r now but haven't had to purchase tires for that one yet. I used to drive a cobalt so it didn't really matter what tires i had. Well that's more than anyone wants to read but I wanna get a good tire since it's gonna be a bargained deal but I wanna do some off roading but mostly pavement driving. I was thinking BFG all terrain K/O's anyone have experience good, bad? or is there an even better tire like nittos? Idk what's the best tire.
It's for an 08 sport v6

Michelin Latitude's are by far the best, especially if you intend to carry loads or tow with the vehicle. I bought a set of 4 265-65-17's for my 2004 V8 and paid about $790 for them delivered from TIRE RACK. That also saves the nearly 8% sales tax we have here in NC.
Will pay about $100 to have them mounted and balanced.

I replaced Continental CrossContact's, which were originally about $130 each, as I recall, but lasted only 35,000 miles before starting to "Cup" on the outside edges, even though they were rotated every 7-8,000 or so. The tire guy said it was probably due to faily frequent towing of my race-car.

I say you won't go wrong with Michilins. MUCH quieter and very stable. Good luck!

I guess it depends on how much onroad vs offroad driving you'll be doing. If it's going to be for the fiance's DD which may not see as much mud and such, then i'd go with michelins, nitto terra grapplers, or even some bridgestone revos. I have the bfg's now and they're alright, but for how much I drive onroad, I probably could've gone with a slightly "less aggressive" tire to help with comfort and fuel consumption. I had revo's on there before and loved them even after they wore down.

well im buying it for her but im giving her my sr5 and im taking the sport, her truck cant look better than mine, so i'll be offroading at least once a month not hardcore offroading but def some trails. And it will be my DD. I want an aggressive looking tire but dont want to waste MPG's since well gas is $3.50 at least here in texas. I want to squeeze all the miles I can.

Narrow down your decision a bit by deciding if you will go with LT (light truck) or P (passenger series) tires.

If you prefer a bit softer ride your fiance may thank you to not go the LT route.

Several tradeoffs either way.
