So I visit my girlfriends condo complex from time to time in a beach city.
There is 2 levels of underground parking attached to the condo complex where level 2 is used for the people living there (restricted access by gates and security) and level 1 is for general parking for the city where its free and is not restricted, the location is right in the downtown area of the city.... I usually park in level 1 when I see my girlfriend without worrying about being broken into.
Level 2 of the parking has recently broken into by people who stole about 90k worth of electric bikes and other property from the people who live in the complex. Recently the complex has installed security measures and now require people to pay to access the general parking in level 1. Which means I won't be using the parking anymore and I have to park out on the busy streets overnight.
The city is full of homeless, drug addicts, and kids who are looking to cause problems. Now that Im parking out in the street I need to find an interior portable security storage box that I can lock up at night and secure it someway to the inside of the truck. Im a pilot for a living and I carry about 3k worth of equipment on me at all times, and other important items.
Does anyone have any recommendations for storage boxes that can be locked up, and would take significant time for someone to break into my 4runner and try to get my property? Pelican boxes with a 3rd party strong lock and cable looks good but the price is a little steep. But I'm willing to pay the bullet as long as its the right choice.
