Need Help installing brush guard

I started to install my WAAG brushguard today and when I tried to line up the mounting point on the guard to the car they don't line up. It appears as though I need some sort of adapter. Has anyone had an issue like this before? I thought it was just plug in play, so to speak.

I'm trying to line up the mount location in the first pic, to the holes where the tow hook normally goes, in the second pic.

After doing some research it turns out I bought a brushguard fit for a '99 and I have a '97. Anyone have any suggestions?

i have a bunch of pictures of the install for my hunter brush guard before i sold it It doesn't look like it fits the same as yours though?

The only difference the years would do is if it has the "fatlip" bumper or not. So if you don't have a fat lip it should still work.

Thanks for the pics. Yeah mine installs different, so maybe I'm just missing a piece, im not sure. I'm going to go to a shop tomorrow and see maybe if they can make some sort of bracket for me.
