NEED HELP! lost my alternator B termial nut!

I have a 2003 4runner SR5 v6. I lost the nut that screws down on the post on my alternator while doing wire upgrades. Its a small nut with a flared side.
Can anyone help me find this part number? Its a 10mm nut but i cant find a replacement on toyotapartdeal.com or any other toyota parts dealer.

You're not going to find that nut for sale at a Toyota dealer, it's part of the alternator.

Either find it at a salvage yard or go buy a similar nut at a hardware store or auto parts store.

I cant exactly take out my alternator to find a nut that fits the B post threading. Im asking for someone that might KNOW what the 10mm nut size is so i can go to a store and buy the right metric flare nut.

Sorry if my trying to help pissed you off, you ask for the part number, not what size it was!

That being said a nut close to that size won't be that expensive, so at the risk of pissing you off again and if no one else replies I would guess at the size and buy at least 3 to 4 sizes close to what size you visually think it is, you can always return the ones that don't fit.

Sorry, im not pissed at you. Just had a frustrating time digging around my motor looking for this nut like a crack head :frusty: Didnt mean to take it out on you Lol
I was actually deciding if I should salvage this alternator or buy a new one due to voltage issues and age of my current alternator. Its got 338,000+ miles on it. So i just bought a AC Delco gold alternator.
Ill try to come back and post the size of the nut on it just in case anyone else runs into this.

Have you tried just going to a local parts store and asking them for help? They can probably get an alternator from their stock and try some flange nuts to see if they fit. If that fails, if you have a micrometer, you can measure the thickness and count the threads on yours then go to Home Depot or Lowes and look for a flange nut of that size.

So I found that under the hood in the fuse panel, take off the lid and look at the 140 amp alternator fuse, that nut holding down the white B+ cable (with a black loom sleeve) is the same identical nut that's on the alternator. Same threaded post. Same exact nut size. Of course I cant use that nut but one can use that for reference.

they call it flange nut.

parts diagram shows you can buy everything seperately.
