Need help pricing '05 4Runner SR5

Alright, my buddy is looking into buying a used 4runner and needs to know if he is being offered a good deal. The asking price is $26,766.....please keep in mind we are in Texas.

Black 2005 SR5 V6 4.0L

Specs:
2 wheel dive
6400 Miles
Gray leather interior
OEM Single disk CD
All documentation available
No history of damage/fender-benders

Seems high to me. I bet he could find a leftover new '05 on a lot for less than that.

For comparison to that used v6, SR5. When i bought my runner, which is a new new 05 V8 Sport Edition the out the door price was 27,200... and that was in California. I think your price is fairly high for what it is.

my experience

That sounds a little high, but usually, dealers go a high to start. Looking in the Central PA. - Marland area, seems to me most '05 SR5s go for mid 23-25s. Honestly, I couldn't see enough of a difference between the '05 and '03 and just picked up a '03 SR5 V8 with 72k miles for 18,500.
