I've been chasing down a VSC TRAC and ABS issue. My Trac system is overactive and kicks in on dry pavement, and my abs kicks on very briefly when coming to a stop from a low speed like when I'm pulling into a parking spot.
I pulled one of the speed sensors (could get the rears to budge) to see if it was a seating issue, now I'm having trouble get it re seated so I will likely replace it.
Before doing more damage I learned that you could read ABS codes. I jumped E1 to Tc and got ABS and cruise lights flashing constantly, but VSC TRAC lights in a pattern. I then learned that VSC codes are different from ABS codes. I got 31, 37, and 51.
The TRAC codes from what I can tell
31 - malfunction in steering angle sensor
37 - malfunction in neutral start switch
51 - ECM system malfunction
Any ideas? Does this mean I have no ABS codes or do I need to read them differently?
