Need help to remove the plastic that is surrounding the emblem, I tried to pry it off but didn't want to force it and break it. Are there any screws that need to be removed. I know the emblem is just double sided tape.

Need help to remove the plastic that is surrounding the emblem, I tried to pry it off but didn't want to force it and break it. Are there any screws that need to be removed. I know the emblem is just double sided tape.

Yes, you'll need to remove the inside plastic cover then pull out 3-5 screws that hold the white surround part in.
If you search for hatch cover removal or something similar you should be able to find a good writeup with pictures.
It's not very hard,
- pop the plastic cover off the grab handle
- remove the bolt under that
- unclip the small plastic cover
- remove bolt under that cover
- pull the bottom & sides of the cover away from the hatch (clips hold it on)
- lift up (towards the hatch window) to slide the top out & set the cover aside
You should see the bolts that hold the cover you want to remove on, these bolts are mostly only visible through holes in the metal shell facing you. You may have to remove a couple of plastic plugs to see use the holes. Then you stick your socket with extension through the hole and remove the nuts & the cover will pop off.
