Need help to buy an item on Ebay

I would like to buy a small T4R related item on Ebay but the seller won't sell or ship to Canada. They won't even ship to a MI address like I've done with other sellers in the past. Anyone want to help me out by bidding and buying a TPMS for me? The auction ends on March 30th.

I am guessing you never got it. Hopefully there will be another opportunity. It is annoying when sellers (ebay or otherwise) won't sell or ship to Canada. It's their right to sell to whomever they want, but it still feels like being discriminated against. The other annoying thing is when merchants who do ship to Canada charge way more than US shipping, when in fact the actual rates are not significantly higher. I also hate when they refuse to ship USPS, but that is whole other rant.

I believe those flat rate boxes can be sent to Canada for the same price....

I don't see many new of this part number. Most are used but then the battery is running down because the TPMS is active. I was hoping to pick one up cheap and then get the Ateq Quickset tool to play with. I'll just continue to use my TPMS switch mod for now.

One seller, in the past, sent me an item via USPS at a regular cheap postal rate. Then he didn't like it when I gave him negative feedback due to his inflated "international" shipping charge.

Also, never use UPS to ship into Canada because they don't have their own customs broker. That make it an expensive pain.

If something like this is to occur again I am willing to help you out. I am at present underemployed and can spend some time helping out a fellow forum member.

I do not believe the "flat rate US Postal Service boxes" apply to Canadian shipments though.But I can send stuff to my sister in the Virgin Islands for same price as across town. Hence I see why they continue to lose money... but I digress...

I would ask for payment via Pay Pal for my protection and yours. There are currency conversion fees even on PayPal plus the normal transaction fees of 2.9% plus 30 cents or something. I typically have used United Parcel Service (brown trucks/slow ground) to ship to Canadians and not found it overly expensive but of course they-the recepients were paying all the tariffs and so on.

Stay in touch if I can be of service. Given enough advance notice I will assist almost any of you guys with 1st gens/2nd gens or whatever with the local wrecking yards and so on. No firearms please...no haz mats....:bash:

Let me get this straight.... You agreed to purchase an item on ebay where the shipping charges were clearly indicated. Then you received the item as promised and gave the seller negative feedback because his actual cost of shipping was less than indicated on his listing?

If that's the case, you're 100% wrong. If you thought the shipping charge was too high, you should have either: A-asked the seller if he would be willing to lower his shipping charges, or B-not purchase the item.

Giving a seller negative feedback because you didn't feel his shipping charges were fair is petty and irresponsible, especially if his shipping fees were clearly indicated up front. BTW, you should also consider that shipping charges may also include handling charges as well. Boxes, packaging materials, labeling etc...plus the time & effort of getting packages shipped are all part of the shipping charges.
