Need help understaning wiring diagram for adding stereo jack adapter...

Ok --- So I put the 2006 JBL into my 2005 sport.... but the problem is that I can't figure out how to add the auxilary port (the stereo jack adapter that is located in the glove box on the 2006 4Runners...).


So --- using the JBL 10 speaker wiring diagram that J0mama posted in a previous thread (located at : http://www.jomama.com/4Runner/JBL10Speaker.pdf ) ... I have located where the stereo jack adapter (S31, bottom of page 2) ....

... but ... reading these wiring diagrams is not my specialty. Can anyone offer a simple explanation as to what wires I would need to tap into to make this work? (I am a computer systems programmer ... not an electrical engineer). I have the part number for the stereo jack adapter --- I guess I would just need to run my own wires for it to make it work.

coudl be way off..

is there a shield around the Ground (green wire) and the Right channel (red wire) and then the left channel (blue wire) is just along side of it all?

Well ... the 4 wires leading into the headunit are :


ALI (assuming AUX left in)
ARI (assuming AUX right in)
ASGN (the ground ...)
AUXI (assuming this is a control wire for the input selection?)

These all correspond to wires coming out of the stereo jack amplifier ....

My question is ... where do these 4 wires come from? There are no extra harness input points on the front of the unit. So --- does my 2005 even have the correct wires to tap into?
