need help! waterpump timing belt madness!

This is happened to my 1994 v6 3vz-e Automatic 2wd.

So im driving down the highway one night doing about 55mph's When all of a sudden a grip of steam shoots out of my hood all over the front windshield. I of course scream like a little girl. put it in nutural and shut the truck down. with my head out the window i pull into the corner gas station with my temp gauge goin to red.

Im freakin out so I pop the hood and the steam is coming from the rear of the engine block (Later I realize that the steam is very misleading when trying to find the source) I get the radiator cap off to no avail the radiator is empty not good. So anyways I fill it up with water and limp on home.

Well i find the leak its coming from non other then the water pump woohoo! But in my Chilton's manual(which I dont recomend) it says that the timing belts and drive pullys need to come off to get at the water pump. Also if you have rear wheel anti-lock brakes those need to be bled. How do you know if you have rear wheel anti-lock? Would you recomend I try this job on my own or pay someone to do it. Any body have any price quotes?

IM currently stuck driving my moms 2001 Ford f-150 I like the V8 But i want my baby back ASAP.

Heres some pictures I took to kind of show you:
The water is coming right out of the waterpump housing and drains the cooling system in about 1o minutes and I start to over heat after about 11 minutes.

Not sure what bleeding the brakes has to do with the water pump. LIttle skeery , if it does. What do I know? I'm learing new things about these 4Runners all the time.

There is a dash light that should illuminate every time you turn the ignition key to 'on' and start the engine. The light should say 'Rear Anti-Lock'. Then it should go out. It's just a check to make sure the bulb and the anti-lock system is working properly.

If you have some know how and fairly basic hand tools I think you could do this job your self with out much hassle. Only trouble is really getting to it.

also it really wouldn't hurt paying a couple of bucks to have a break shop bleed your breaks. You could have them rotate the tires while your at it.

all of the repair manuals that I've been able to find for the 2nd gens really aren't too good. Mostly because they also include 1st gen stuff in it as well. I know mine includes 79-95 4runner and trucks

I have a 22R, not a 3.slow, but I've never heard of removing pulleys to R&R a water pump. Yes you would have to remove the fan belts (not timing belt) and unbolt the fan from the pump.

And the thing with the brakes makes no sense at all.

Is this a FSM that's telling you this or an aftermarket manual ?

I think he said it was an aftermarket manual. I still think you should break out the tool box and give it hell. That baby wants to get back out on the road, I can tell.

Looking back at those pictures does the timing belt cover obstruct your ability to get to the water pump what so ever. That maybe what your manual was referring too.
