Need help! Windows wont go back up!

Hey there everyone- I have a 95 sr5 limited - power everything, auto-

This has been going on for a while, but finally died on me- My power windows would work every other time I would try them, from the drivers door - and one day about a month ago I rolled my window down half way and it won't go back up! None of the windows will work from any of the doors, and neither will the rear window from the button inside . (it works with the key in the tailgate...)

Anyways, I have taken the door panel apart, checked connections, etc, nothing seems wrong.. fuse is fine.. Don't know what do do!
This problem also is affecting the power locks, from the drivers door- I can manually lock and unlock JUST the driver door, but turning the key won't lock the other 4 doors- (but it will from the passenger side.. )
The rear view mirror panel seems to be the only electrical part working now in my door. Does any one know what may keep the locks & windows from not working only from the drivers door?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, since it's going to start snowing here soon and having my window half way down the whole winter would REALLY SUCK! :)
Thanks for your time---

sounds like a bad relay or a shorted wire. Check in the area before and after the door interface rubber tube thingy (the tunnel where the wires leave the door and enter the body. My kid's tercel did a thing like that and it was a rub spot on a hot wire.

do you know any prevention tips

how do you keep the window running good? what can you do to prevent it from getting stuck? is there anything you can put in the window or between the seal to keep the window running smoothly?
