Whats up guys, im new here and this is my first post and im looking for some tips on how to remove the inner cv shaft bolts on my 91 4runner 4wd.
To put it short, everything underneith is pretty rusted together. i had a HELL of a time removing the balljoints (im replacing all 4 up front) I ended up banging on them for a while and then used a 3jaw puller and popped them out with a lot of force and they came flying out with a shotgun sound, literally.
So i got the old CV shafts out, they seperated from the inner joint where it has 5 bolts holding it to the diff. I got 2 of the bolts to bust free using a 17mm wrench on the nut side and a 17mm socket, a 2foot long pry bar and a ton of heat with my torch. i cannot get the last 8 to break free, they are rusted solid. i saturated them in PB blaster tonite hoping that will help.
Have you guys had any similar issues with these bolts? i tried using SEARCH but i couldnt find anything specific on this matter.
