Need help with my 3rd Gen

I have a 1999 3.4L V6 and out of no where it has started to make a jerking feel to it. I changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires because I thought that the car was misfiring. I am still having this problem and I can hear it in the exhaust as well. I only feel the car jerking when I am at a stop or when I am decelerating or accelerating. Whatever the problem is, it is not causing a check engine light to come on. Any ideas as to what could be the problem? Thanks for the help!

Check throttle position sensor and idle control valve. Both cause erratic running and usually with no CEL.

It could also be an injector, my car drove for a while with similar issues and no CEL (it did eventually blip on).

It could be bad gas or a number of things. That is interesting though. Have you given your car a tune-up recently?

First, I'd like to say thank you guys for all the help. I haven't been able to work on my car since i posted this but when i started it up this morning it was running so smooth it was as though it didn't even have a problem, but half way to work it started again and when I got to work it smelt like gas. I haven't put in new gas in the vehicle but since that seems like something that will only cost me 1/4 of a gas tank then I will try it this evening.

I have also been reading that a common problem in 3.4L third gens is one of the injectors going out or needing to be flushed. Could that be the problem without throwing off the CEL?
