Need help with my KARR alarm

So I pulled the battery today to clean off the corrosion, when I put it back in as soon as I connected cables the alarm started going off. I just recently bought the 4runner and the remote has no battery in it. Now everytime I turn it off and get out it will auto lock and arm the alarm. So I unlock and open the door and the alarm goes off. Right now I just pulled the horn fuse. There's a switch and LED thats down by the hood latch and the wires run I think towards the back of the fuse box. Its a 98 sr5 4runner, Im not sure what model the alarm is. I've noticed from searching online that KARR is a dealer alarm and not held with great reguard. I couldn't find any specific help for the system that mine has. Any help on how to keep it from going off would be great, also is the remote battery something I can go pick up at the auto store?

Dredging up an old post, I recently bought a 1995 4Runner and it came with two different style remotes. Both have "Karr" on them but they look different. One matches Google searches that I have done and is a black oval with three buttons labeled "Trunk (Opt.)", "Arm/Dis." and "Panic". The other one is a gray rectangle with just one oval black button and one turquoise oval button.

They are driving me crazy because there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason how and where they work. Sometimes I lock the doors and then unlock them no problem. Other times I lock the doors, unlock them and get in the car and it won't start. I play with the remote buttons and eventually it starts. Today the stupid thing kept it from starting although it turned over for a while. Then after about 10 min. it started.

Whiskey Cop, is that manul perhaps for the Karr alarm that I have?

Well, I found the best solution. I am having a stereo installed and while I'm at it, they are completely removing the KARR system. That solves my headaches. The stupid system re-arms itself after a couple of minutes even if you are working on it. I was ready to drive it off a cliff. I put new coils and shocks in the rear and I'd have to re-set the alarm constantly during the project. Off it goes...

key on hold down button on back of led pod or flip switch to put into vallet, to reprogram the auto lock you need a working remote. to program remote after battery key on tap button on pod 3 times hear honk, hold button on remote hear honk (if more than one remote hold other remote button and wait for honk), if all else fails reach up under dash to left side pull down brain and unplug system is designed to be removed but leave all wires in vehicle starter kill will not function and vehicle should work fine
