Need help with Revos prices...

I recall reading someone's post about Costco not selling Bridgestone tires anymore and sure enough, I found out today. Apparently, they aren't getting any more shipment and will only sell what is left at each individual stores. This really blows! I had ordered my Revos last October at a Costco in Chicago, IL during the $75 rebate offer period, but after waiting for over 2 months, I cancelled my order and got a refund since I had to move back to CA.

For those members who've purchased the Revos for a pretty good price, please let me know where and how much you got them for in the So. Cal area (i.e.- price before/after tax, mounting charges, out-the-door $). Please advise me if the shop will do 265/70/17 sizes, if not, it's ok. Thanx in advance!

BTW: Costco will only sell Michellins and BFGs. The Cross Terrain isn't rugged enough and the KOs are probably a bit over kill for me. The Revos seem like the perfect fit I really got to get rid of my Dunflops w/39k on them.

Find the cheapest price for the tires you want online (check tirerack.com), print out the quote and take it to Discount Tire (or something like it) and tell them to match it. I've heard they will 90% of the time unless the online price is some blowout pricing. Plus you get to save shipping!!

Wheel Works will do the same as well, if you have them in SoCal. I've heard Costco ended their contract with Bridgestone at the beginning of the year, so warehouses are selling through their existing inventory. I knew something was up, when I got the current coupon book and the tire coupon was for Michelin and BFG, use to be Michelin and Bridgestone.

I get my rotation/balance/alignment at Firestone/MasterCare. They got everything aligned after my lift.

I don't know how their pricing and warranties are, but I'll check them out when the time comes for tires.

There is also a nice local business (2 locations) I'll consider. Buy from Tirerack and take the tires to them. They have a roadforce balance machine. They are listed in Tirerack's local installers.


The chain discount stores always seem overbooked and rundown.
