Hey, I need some help picking out tires for my 99 4 Cylinder. I just put a 3inch lift on it and want some meaty tires to finish off the look and that will get me through the mud. Someone recommended the Goodyear Wrangler Dura tracs and I have read a lot of good reviews on them. Any advice?

I have General AT2 and have had no issues with them. There cheaper then Goodyears. They work for what I need. I've only been on the sand with them and i just cruise along.

dura tracs supposedly have very soft tread and wear out pretty fast. At least that is what I've heard. They are also really noisy for not a full on mud tire. If you want a cheap mudder with a warranty check out pro comps I think they have a 40,000 warranty. of coarse they don't cover "off roading" but at least you know they will last a while. All mudders a really noisy, so if you want something that isn't look into like the general grabbers or bfg a/t's those are both pretty quiet and go pretty good in the mud

I believe the only people complaining about Duratrac tread life are guys running them on 1-ton trucks, all of the T4R guys that have them, myself included have been happy with the wear. They also aren't noisy, you can hear a slight hum over the wind noise with the windows down on the highway, quiet with windows up, completely acceptable IMO.
