So when I put on the spacers the required need to twist the front springs and shock 180° so it would fit perfectly. Now that I did that the XREAS on the shocks were stretched and in their current position are very tight and facing the opposite direction. please help me and tell me what I need to do to fix it!

Is there any way to index the spacers to put the hoses back in proper position? I'm trying to remember...my 4R had that system, but I removed it and did a suspension upgrade. Wish I could help. Let us know if you find a solution.

I don't understand why you needed to rotate it at all. If they were aligned properly beforehand, then they should align properly afterward, right? My spacers on my 5th gen XREAS was simply setting the spacer on top and bolting it back up. I would just rotate it back the 180 degrees, and if for whatever reason it did get twisted, do as someone else said and just reset the position of the tophat by compressing the spring.

In order to fit properly, it has to be twisted 180 dagrees. There is no avoiding that. I cant change that, but does anyone have other ideas? Thanks!

Where in the hell does anything say you have to rotate 180 degrees? Like others have said compress spring and rotate the tophat! Or use no spring compressor method and do the same. Have done both several times. "In order to fit properly" what exactly does that mean?

You have started 7 4th gen threads in January alone. Slow down and read around some, this spacer thing is very simple. Please show this 180 thing! I can see turning it 1/4 of the way around maybe but dang sure not half.

In the instructions. lol, are we still debating this point? IF you guys knew exactly what i was talking about about this front spacer kit, you would know that you have to rotate it 180 degrees. I would draw you a diagram, but its not worth my time. Is there anyone who can tell me what to do in the position i am? Can the XREAS connection on the shock be rotated without damaging the xreas system?

Heres one of the many videos/ diy of them doing 180 degree rotation

Good God! You are an idiot! And in another one of your threads you spelled it forerunner, on the back of your car it says 4runner!

I see why you think it is 180 degrees! Because the 3 points the bolts go through top hat, you then have to put new bolts down through the mount into the spacers.

Google no spring compressor method 4th gen 4runner. Take the tension off the spring rotate the top of the assembly and retighten all, SIMPLE.

Honestly i dont care how i spell, im not writing an essay. And usually i use the Talk-and-write method talking to my iphone, and it types forerunner instead of 4runner. Since when was the fourms on here to go around calling people idiots, just take a chill pill, were all friends here. Gosh.

sorry frustrated at other things. And you got the brunt, just turn the top hat and you will be good.
